Henderson County Schools will be closed starting Monday, March 16th through April 30th due to COVID-19 Precautions. Our anticipated return date is May 1st.
Our Board of Education office and all schools and facilities are closed to the public.
Please call 270-831-5000 to make an appointment.

School Meals
Henderson County Schools will provide "Grab & Go" meals at the following locations:
AB Chandler
Bend Gate
East Heights
South Heights
The "Grab & Go" meal will include lunch and breakfast and lunch for the following day.
Meals will be available to pick up between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. only on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 
Meals are free to anyone 18 and younger, and students do not have to be enrolled in the school where they plan to pick up the meals or in Henderson County Schools. Per USDA regulations, students must be present to receive the free meals. Adult meals will not be available for purchase. Tables will be set up near the school entrance where students can grab a meal and go. 
“Grab and Go” Community Locations and Bus Route Stops
Meals will arrive at these locations for pick-up between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.  Please listen for the bus to honk to indicate they are on site. You must meet the bus to receive the meals.
Buses will remain on-site for 20-25 minutes.
Delivery personnel will not come to the door per health regulations.

Preschool Registration for the 2020-2021 school year will be March 30 - April 3, 2020!
Registration Times:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8:30AM-3PM
Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30AM-7PM
Registration will take place in the school library, so please enter through door #3 (on the 7th street side entrance of the building)
Please bring a copy of your students State Birth Certificate, Current Immunization (including Hepatitis A), current physical, and proof of income. 
IF YOU HAVE A PARENT PORTAL: please complete registration online via your parent portal log in, then visit Thelma B. Johnson to complete additional paperwork.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PARENT PORTAL: Please visit Thelma B. Johnson during Early Registration and a staff member will assist you with completing your application.
