February 15th was National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, and although it fell on a Sunday this year, we wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible SROs.

Our School Resource Officers do so much more than keep our schools safe. They build meaningful relationships with our students, serve as mentors, offer guidance, and help create a positive and secure learning environment across Henderson County Schools.

Their presence brings comfort to students, staff, and families alike, and their commitment does not go unnoticed.

Please join us in thanking our SROs for their dedication, service, and the care they show our schools each and every day. We are grateful for all that you do!

This week, Henderson County Schools celebrates our incredible Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) Coordinators.
Our FRYSC coordinators are a lifeline for students and families, helping remove non-cognitive barriers to learning by connecting them to food, clothing, social services, and critical support. Their compassion, dedication, and behind-the-scenes work make a lasting difference in our schools and our community.
Thank you for all you do for our Henderson County students and families. Because of you, we continue to Pursue Excellence—together.

Hey TBJ friends and families! We are enjoying our time with your littles! It was a fun week with them and we are seeing improvements daily in following our schedules, routines, and procedures. Thanks for sharing these adorable little Colonels with us.
If you have not yet signed up for and into the Rooms, we hope you will take the time to do this so that your communication with us can be richer. Please reach out with any questions. Here is a link with some helpful how to's for this process.

We also could use your help in car rider line. It is going well and we are getting through the line in about 15 min for each arrival and departure. Thanks for being alert and having your little one ready to exit the car or getting them buckled in quickly. This helps tremendously. Please do not use the outside lane on Elm St. to drive past all other waiting car riders to try and turn right in front of the cars already in line. We are asking that the bus lane stays open and that all cars lined up before turning in to TBJ lot fit on to the side of 7th St. ready to turn right into our parking lot. Left turns from 7th St. into the parking lot are not permitted during arrival and pick up times. Also, left turns from Elm St. to 7th St. are not permitted during arrival and pick up times. The attached map shows what our car rider line should look like at these areas. We appreciate your thoughtful attention to these matters to ensure the safety of everyone in the lines during arrival and dismissal.
Summary:
Bus lanes clear
intersections clear
7th St corner leave car length clear from stop sign to next car rider line slot
Only left turns for 6th to get into line
Only right turns from Elm to get into line
Only right turns from 7th to get into line
Thank you for your help! Enjoy your weekend!
